Preparation
Ensure surfaces to be coated are dry and must be cleaned using the appropriate product to remove
all traces of contaminants.
Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine abrasive paper. Avoid the inhalation of dust.
Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces over
wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. Do not apply when the air or substrate
temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during
application or the drying period.
